sneak peak into my products and process from my exam project.
Photo editing
In creating the M65 brochure for my exam project, Silo1, I had to do quite a bit of photo editing in Photoshop.

Front page
To get the exact right picture, it is sometimes necessary to combine several elements yourself. I wanted the excitement of a large crowd without giving up the intimate feel of a smaller venue.

The artist
I found an artist that embodied the feeling I was looking for. It was a fun challenge to remove the green light he was bathed in.

the stage
The colours, the light, the crowd. It was perfect. Now it was just about combining the elements.

No editing
I removed the background from the crowd, placed the artist, and placed the crowd in front.

Colour
Several different colour filters were needed to remove the green colour. I also added blur and noise to better match the camera focus on the crowd.

Lights and smoke
At last I placed a layer in front of the artist where I drew on shadows, highlights and smoke. I also placed a colour layer of the stage lights and turned down the opacity.

The Building
Years ago I enjoyed the light on this building in Aarhus and took a photo. For this project I felt it could be a perfect venue for Silo1. There were unfortunately quite a few distractions that I had to remove first. I used Stamp tool, Patch tool, and AI to remove the green garage, windows, cars and trucks, and the original logo on the silo in the back.

Logo placement
After the distracting elements were removed, I placed my logo in 4 different places on the buildings and silo. I first used a colour burn filter to retain the details and shadows on the buildings. On top I placed another layer of logos with low opacity to achieve the original logo colour.
